How to live
inside the Engine.
The Life Engine is wide by design. You do not need to master it. Start with a person, a place, and one intention.
Your first hour
- Create an identity and choose one of three material beginnings.
- Open Arrival. Its eight chapters read real evidence from your life; it is guidance, not a gate.
- Choose one aspiration and one modest next action.
- Explore Economy for work or study, Community for connection, and Home for stability.
- Let consequences accumulate. There is no optimal build and no permanent class.
The worlds do not pause
Every operational world has an authoritative clock. A bounded rotation advances residents, households, markets, culture, institutions, conditions, projects, logistics, and long arcs without overloading the shared host. Systems use idempotent evidence so refreshing a page cannot repeat an outcome.
Thirty-seven connected chambers
The canonical life menu never changes between system pages. Life, Arrival, Community, Social, Trust, Civilization, Aspirations, Relationships, Generations, Wellness, Culture, Zeitgeist, Atlas, Economy, Exchange, Home, Career, Assets, Fiscal, Services, Enterprise, Information, Society, Power, Dominion, Underworld, Environment, Mobility, Frontier, Beyond, Epochs, Chronicle, Creator, Library, Legacy, Worlds, and Archive each expose one part of the same state.
History without costume, futures without prophecy
Epochs begins with an isolated rehearsal, expands into a four-chapter Long Life, and lets a completed archive found a private lineage. Household Years can then resolve four deterministic seasons at a time. Members practice care, craft, provision, teaching, mediation, or stewardship; record consent-based bonds; establish related hearths; face material pressure; grow older; and preserve coming-of-age milestones plus annual review evidence. Era resources never become production currency, work income, property, or paid power.
Boundaries are systemic
Blocking is immediate and bidirectional. Presence, directory visibility, messages, parties, trade, and competitive contact are separate permissions. Reports create durable cases; sanctions can be appealed. Player mortality is protected at the beginning and requires explicit consent later. Optional games of chance use fictional Aurels only, enforce daily stake and loss limits, offer cool-off and self-exclusion, and never permit purchase or cash-out.
Supported participation
Account preferences include reduced motion, high contrast, larger text, focus mode, dyslexia-friendly typography, and spacious controls. Character access needs stay private by default. Arrival can preserve home, work, education, travel, social, and interface accommodation requests without reducing a person to a condition.
Read the world contract first
The public directory filters lifecycle, epoch, language, access, and mortality. All twenty-two declared worlds operate continuously, and each can be inspected in its own live observatory. Public and controlled Alpha admission remains distinct from the resettable Test laboratory and invite-only Private studio.
What the shared-host Alpha supports
The current host delivers continuous bounded work through minute scheduling and short-lived database workers, near-live private state through authenticated polling, and operational safety through capacity controls, evidence ledgers, and verified backups. Those are functional implementations—not placeholders. A later VPS can improve concurrency and latency through Redis, resident workers, sockets, replicas, and external telemetry without changing the product contract. Multi-node load, failover, automated isolated restore, qualified historical review, human translation, and real-player balance still require their own evidence. The Alpha is free and has no checkout.
